The 1960s brought an outstanding urban transformation of MNHD’s lands into lively residential, industrial and governmental centers complemented with their own educational facilities, commercial centers and fully connected with the public transportation networks.

It was a decade of architectural innovation through which the middle class has experienced a true urban revolution lead by MNHD and in 1964 the organization became Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development as part of the General Egyptian Authority for Housing and Development.
