Implemented in 2011, following the board’s approval of a 1 million EGP fund, the MNHD Urban Upgrading Initiative was launched.  The project, which was implemented in collaboration with Nasr City Municipality and the Rabaa El Adaweya NGO, was designed to revitalize urban communities, improve environmental conditions and better the lives of residents in several underdeveloped areas of Nasr City. Now five years later the initiative has made significant gains, through the volunteer work of MNHD employees the implementation of garbage collection systems, street lighting, landscaping and street cleaning have all been made possible.

  • 300 repaired street lights
  • 35 planted trees
  • 380 garbage bins distributed in various areas of the Nasr City District
